"American Overdrive" Update Releases Notes
Welcome to the new update - the American Overdrive!
New Cars: American Overdrive
For the latest Top Drives car update, we’re visiting the hallowed automotive grounds of the United States of America. Get ready for over 300 brand new cars.
When choosing the cars for this update, we wanted to take a deep dive into American car culture and the vast array of different car genres that make it unique. We’ve included over 330 new and classic models from iconic American automakers like Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac, and GMC, as well as reinvented brands like Hummer. These include a wide array of classic muscle cars, pickup trucks, rapid-performance sedans, full-size SUVs, legendary race cars, and some of the fastest electric cars on the planet.
Here are a few of the highlights coming in the 22.0 update:
2005 Chevrolet Corvette C6.R
The Corvette Corvette C6.R is a racecar that earned its legendary status on the track. In GT1 spec, its 7.0-litre V8 engine produces 590 hp, giving it a 0-60 time of 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 195mph. In its 2005 debut season, the C6.R competed in the American Le Mans Series and the FIA GT Championship, taking several class wins at circuits including Road Atlanta, Laguna Seca, and Lime Rock.
2020 Sierra 3500 HD Denali Ultimate
When it comes to pickup trucks, the GMC Sierra 3500 HD is one of the most imposing and capable available. The ‘3500’ part of its name marks it out as the largest regular passenger truck of the GMC line-up, while the ‘dually’ twin rear wheel axle points to its rugged ability. Power comes from a Duramax V8 diesel engine producing 445 hp and 910 lb-ft of torque, making this vast truck surprisingly quick with a 0-60 sprint time of 7.3 seconds.
2020 Drako GTE
Electric startup car maker Drako made its mark on the car world with its first ever production car, the $1.3 million GTE. It’s an electrified luxury sedan that takes direct aim at Tesla, one that sports a 1200 hp quad-motor powertrain that gives it a blistering 0-60 time of 2.90 seconds and a top speed of 206mph. Want one? Well, you’ll have to be quick, as Drako only plans to build 25 examples.

New Collection Series

Global Item Leaderboards!
Note - the feature will not be immediately available on release of the update.
A new button titled "Item Leaderboards" will now appear on your home screen, just below "Single Player".
The Item Leaderboards are the built-in solution for displaying player rankings regarding ownership of various Items earned by players in Events and Challenges. This feature is a further development of the idea that came about as a way to let players "flex" their progress in the content. At release, there will be two permanent leaderboards available: one for your Seasonal items, and another for Challenges, such as Collection Series.
In the future, Item Leaderboards will be the basis for several ideas that we have, such as Leagues. But we'll get to that when there's more to reveal. As of now, we can just confirm the development of these ideas.
Expanded Wishlist!
The Wishlist is a hugely popular feature that allows you to track cars you're particularly interested in. For the past two years since the feature was introduced, the list was limited to 100 cards. We expanded this number to 300.
Characters and Dialogue
Note - the feature will not be immediately available on release of the update.
Characters will be returning to Top Drives Challenges at some point in the coming months!
